Eco-Quest Tours is aboard to lead kayaking and nature tours throughout the bay and adjacent mangrove forests. For the fisherman, we’ve partnered with a variety of charter boat captains each with their own specialty. Capt. Will Geraghty of the Grand Slam offers light tackle sport fishing, Everglades Anglers’ Capt. Mark Ward provides fly fishing instruction and Capt. Todd Geroy, LLC specializes in backwater sport fishing including spin, plug and fly casting. Captain Joey D. offers a variety of backwater fishing fun.

Hamilton Harbor is located on the southern edge of Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, one of few remaining undisturbed mangrove estuaries in North America. Rookery Bay encompasses 110,000 acres of pristine mangrove forests, wetlands, uplands and protected estuarine waters and provides habitat for numerous threatened or endangered wildlife including manatee, sea turtles, Florida panther and 150 species of birds. It also serves as an outdoor classroom and laboratory for students and scientists from around the world and provides opportunities for outdoor recreation including fishing, kayaking, and bird watching.
